Funny, but Fuzzy and Pumpkin were NOT this cute when they were going at each other yesterday! LOL
Today, we found out that friends of ours, who married 6 months before us, some 16 years ago, are having a major crisis in their marriage.
It has just made me feel so sad.
It isn't shocking, they have had difficulties, but they made it this far, and I really thought they were doing much better. They had sent some great pics from vacation over the summer, everyone seemed so happy. :-/
Believe me, Hubby and I have had our difficulities, and marriage certainly is a job and an adventure, but I cannot imagine ever living without him. I can't help but hope that they will find their way... but of course, I am realistic and know that the right thing for them, may be splitting.
So sad, especially for the kids, 14 1/2 and 11.
I can't wait until Hubby gets home to give him a big hug!
Finally, the temperatures are dropping to a more seasonable level! It is only 64 degrees today! Yay! Hopefully, the school won't be so hot at Back to School night!
I love this cooler weather... it is the best. Unfortunately, we may get some rain though.
Hammer's Gal Pal is here visiting, and he is so happy. Also, Fuzzy and Pumpkin went to are town center for pizza after their half day, and now are home here with DogBoy, too. So, yes, you count right - 5 kids today! LOL
My left middle finger seems to have some sort of sprain, very weird.
Oh well, have a great day!
be well,
Dawn

Hope your friends will be able to sort things out after all, Dawn, but if beds are burning....
Sometimes life just gets the better of people and they find they have moved in different directions in their life. It seems people are less likely to try to make it work, before they call uncle these days. Then again I've been married twice already myself, and Doc knows I'm not looking for a 3rd. In my defense my first put me in a coma, and my 2nd was mentally abusive in every way possible. (Hugs) Indigo
marriage is always hard:) something you have to work at everyday:) love the kitties have a good week

Marriage--or partnerships of any kind -- require a lot of work. Hope it works out.

I am so sorry to hear about a possible split. I know sometimes that is the best... but it still hurts and is so hard for all of them.

Marriage is a job! Every day, hour by hour, and minute by minute. My job is to make sure DH makes it to the end of the day alive, lol. Sorry about your friends. Middle finger hmmmm?
People seem so surprised when I say Phil and I have been together like so long. You do have to work at it sometimes, but its never a chore. So sad when you here of people splitting up after such a long time.

Awww...that is so sad about your friends...If they could only walk inmy shoes for one day...no...just one minute and feel the loss that I feel...but no...I wouldn't wish that feeling on anyone.
love ya,
carlene
I remember when our best friend who married one year after us split behind our backs. It was a crazy time. I cried all the time like it was my marriage. That's how close we were. Now the shoe is on the other foot and it's our marriage.
Take care, Chrissie
