Well, it is Eleven Days UNTIL Christmas! LOL
I am doing great! The MRI turned out to be a great experience this time!!! The RN was wonderful and so was the anesthesiologist. I didn't need a lot of meds, just versed, which made me very, very, happy!
They got my vein in my favorite spot on the first try, and everything went great from there! I was alert throughout, but in no discomfort or pain! Afterward, I was sitting up immediately and clear headed, just overly happy!
Like the usual me, but ramped up to giddy-ultra happy!
After a quick drink of water, Hubby brought me a yummy hazelnut coffee that was just what I needed!
The anesthesiologist very kindly gave me the news that to his and the technicians eyes, they saw no evidence of MS - of course, that is VERY unofficial. I really appreciated them telling me though, and I am sure that the MS doc will confirm that Monday am.
The MS doc will probably also be able to give me her thoughts on the tumor, if it looks like it grew or not, but regardless, I will be getting the copies of my MRI on cd for my uber-neurosurgeon and will be going to visit him in January sometime.
Thank you for all your prayers and kind thoughts! J-land must have been working overtime, because I have to say, the whole day was very pleasant! How many people can say that?
Afterward, Hubby took me to the diner and I had a late breakfast for lunch. Eggs Benedict... yum. Always a treat. Then, we headed home to check in on the kids for a bit, and then off to the Container Store for one hour, where I finished my Christmas shopping.
On Wednesday and Thursday at our school, their were two fire alarms caused by construction workers. Which meant the kids were outside in 30 degree weather, without coats, two days in a row, for about 20 minutes each time.
Result? Fuzzy's asthma is flared up! He had an awful night, and is on the nebulizer here at home; three treatments so far. ACK! I could scream... but what are you going to do, really? No way to predict this stuff with construction going on in the school.
Hopefully, with us giving him treatments here at home, and rest throughout the weekend, he will be back for school Monday!
Anyhow, that is my update for now! I hope everyone is having a wonderful Friday!
be well,
Dawn

Thinking of you,

My sister had a severe asthma attack this morning while shoveling snow and no one was home.
she had to use the shovel like a cane , then take her inhaler so she could get the nebulizer set up. she thought she was gonna pass out in the snow. Im so nervous for her now.
Great news! I'm glad the MRI went well and that you had a nice day out with the hubby, too.
But what the heck is the Container Store? --Cin
Wow, Dawn, that is some pretty great news. Now, saying many prayers that there has been no change in the tumor. I'm so glad things went so smoothly for you. Have a great one! Love ya, Chris
Dawn, sounds like you and Jeanette had the same phlebotmist and they were able to get their samples with no difficulty. That always helps.
Things sound good to me and I hope it continues that way, good luck and prayers are going your way, Bill
cold air kicks my asthma into gear too so the last month doing the cart parties at work are killing me and making me miserable. I hate to hear your son had to go out in the cold! So glad you had a decent day with those tests. You are in my prayers.

Hi Dawn,
I'm glad the MRI went well ... what a relief!
Best,
Marty
I am so happy to hear the MRI went well & you didn't have any problems with the IV. I Pray your doc confirms what the tech saw and you can rest easy now. Poor Fuzzy ~ I do hope he is doing better by now.

My grandson for a quite a long time had asthlma attacks severe enough to need breathing treatments, but he has grown out of his asthma pretty much at 16, but the tendency is always there as it has been with my sister all her life, except the attacks have been much less severe. I am glad the news was relatively good on your MRI. Now I am confused. Now have you captioned these cat pictures yourself or do they come from a site where they are already captioned? They are so clever and cute, whoever does them. I know you do some of them, but I began to wonder when so many turned up on your site. Gerry http://journals.aol.com/gehi6/daughters-of-the-shadow-men
Well, I'm not happy with myself that I'm so out of the loop that I'm reading about this several days after the fact! Oh my! I've got some catching up to do... lots of it, apparently. Got my fingers crossed for your appt tomorrow, and hoping Fuzzy is fully recovered by now. Thinking of you!!!
I'm so happy the MRI was a pleasant experience this time ... & they found a vein on the 1st try! Keeping my fingers crossed for great news! I'm not sure if your school can arrange this or not, but when the fire alarm went off at my daughter's last school, the nurse would try to gather together all the kids who had asthma & let them sit in her car & some other teacher's cars until they could go back inside. The kids knew where to find her & it saved a lot of asthma attacks. Hope Fuzzy feels better.
good!
I have had you on my mind
Ihope thenews continues to be good.
I'm sorry about Fuzzy's asthma flare up.
Wishing you a holly jool christmas
Marti
