Hips Don't Lie

Well, my hips don't lie.  They hurt.  They ache.  They are mad at my rheumatologist.

Thursday, during my appointment, she decided to give my hips a vigorous exam.

By 6:30 pm that evening, I put on my pj's and have only been out of them once since!

I am not going to belabor the pain here though.

Thank you very much for all your support.  Your comments and emails have meant so much over the last week.  I am determined that this week I will get back to commenting in your journals, too.

Focusing on giving back may help me get through this all!

Of course, the kids are off Tuesday and I have to go for bloodwork at 8am, making the week interesting!  LOL

Speaking of the kids, they are doing well.  Fuzzy and Pumpkin are both doing great in school.  Hammer is doing well with homeschooling.

Fuzzy was elected Senior Patrol Leader for his Scout troop.  Basically, he is the head scout and has many responsibilities as such.  He also ran for VP of the Student Council, but he lost to a friend, and was very gracious in defeat.  Good experiences, both.

Can you believe that it will be October this week?

Wow... the time... she flies...

be well,
Dawn

Awww... good to hear from you, but so sorry you're in such pain. I hope that gets better soon.
Glad to hear all the kids are good.
No, I can't believe it's already October and Christmas is around the corner. I hate this time of year ONLY because it will be a blur so soon.
Take care, Chrissie

ouch!! have to wonder why the doctor would give a vigorous exam, but got to trust their judgment; sorry you are in so much pain :(

WTG to Fuzzy for being Senior Patrol Leader; I'm sure he will shine in that role! I always think, as hard as it is, that it is good to get the experience to run for an office and not to win; something good about character building especially if he can be gracious in his defeat

so glad that Pumpkin and Hammer are doing well in school! I know we blinked and September is ending; soon the holidays will be upon us!!

(its just a short break from Koda's journal; a week or so and I'm still reading journals; just want to post some entries in my other one that I neglect if I post on Koda's; he does lament a lot at home; he could write a book on how hard his life is, yeah, right Koda :)

Damn Doctors!  Sorry you're hurting, I hope you find some relief soon!
Congrats to Fuzzy on being Senior Patrol Leader.  I'll bet he gets involved in the elections for Student Council again.  It says alot about his integrity(and how he was raised) being so gracious in the VP loss.
I know what you mean about October, I'm still moaning that it's not summer any more. ::sigh::

Oh I hope that you are out of pain soon, I had an attack of sciatica when I was at my sisters in Washington State...so I can imagine the hips doing that too. Tell Fuzzy way to go...good for him.  I have to get back into writing, but I am trying to catch up on my Ebay site cause they changed the rules there for listing...of course I took the worst time for a vacation now I have to catch up lots...be well, love, Sandi

Hope you feel better soon.  My hips are now hurting all the time as well.  Guess I should see someone but I have enough medical things on my plate at the moment.  I will stick it out as long as I can.

Brave young thing that you are - coming in and cheering US up with the scoop on the kids, while you're not feeling 100%, no where near.  I swear Dawn, it's folks like you and dozens more I could name that give us whiners hope, just when things look darkest you bring in the candle - and your hands are shaking but you do it anyway.  I salute you, and thank you for reminding me I'm alive, well, lucky, and things couldn't be better!  Brave, you are.  xoxo CATHY

I'm so sorry about your hips.  I hope the pain passes soon, if it hasn't already.  So sorry, too, that I didn't know about this until now.  I've been so behind.  But with a new blog and all these new things to learn, I'm going to concentrate on keeping up with everyone better.  Take care!

very much looking fwd to the day when we can have a little wand waved over us [like in star trek] and have our ills cured.  that day has to be coming. think abt it.  we laughed when capt kirk first used a "transponder" yet isn't that essentially what a cellphone is?  ;)  so, here's to the trekkies ... get to work on that little wand!!  there's a bunch of us here with aches & pains that need healed!  hope ya feel better soon my friend, =)
