Sweet Emotion

This cat looks just like Wilford Brimley who does those commercials!

I changed my journal colors a bit for some spring fun!  Do you like?

Well, my men are all gone!  Hubby, Hammer and Fuzzy are off to the Weeboree!  Fuzzy's friend Russ has recently been promoted and is attending this Weeboree; it is his first time.  It is really nice because the older scouts work with the younger Weebelo Cub Scouts and new scouts, teaching them skills.

Our troop is teaching fire starting.  About 3 of 4 different ways.  :-)

So, today I mostly did some spring cleaning.  Pumpkin and I will have a quiet girl's night tonight, and tomorrow we will maybe do some shopping.  We may also go pick out the kitchen flooring tomorrow with my mom and dad.  The place that was recommended to us is local and very convenient to our house.

My hands are so sore today!  I have been doing a lot of stuff with them all week, and today I am paying the piper!  Ouch!  But, it hasn't stopped me.  lol

I hope everyone has a great weekend!  Can you believe it is MAY?  MAY?  Already???  In about 3 months I start Christmas shopping again!  ACK!

Bwah ha ha ha, bet some of you are cringing at that thought!!!  LOL

I don't really do a lot early, but some!  lol

be well,
Dawn

Have fun picking out the floor. Oh and what is this "MAY" thing you are talking about? Is it supposed to come with snow? I thinks you are lying. It is really still March, right?

Hi Dawn,
Nice, new blog colors.  I remember the excitement of the Weeborees ... but I think we called these campouts something else back in "my day."  I especially remember my scoutmaster getting VERY angry because I didn't tie up my tentflaps.  He freaked out, threw all my stuff in the bushes and started screaming at me in front of the whole troop.  I very calmly told him that my tent didn't have any "ties" (I guess they had fallen off, making it impossible to tie the flaps) and that he was over-reacting.  Then, I suggested he lead a search for my glasses which, I explained, were among my possessions he had carelessly thrown in the woods.  He spent all day looking for my glasses (and I spent all day "innocently" suggesting that -- if he couldn't find them -- we could easily just call my parents, explain that he had thrown my glasses in the woods and ask them to come meet us at the campsite with a replacement pair).  What I didn't tell him was that the glasses were in my pocket the whole time.  In retrospect, I guess that's how I blew my chances of ever making it to Eagle Scout at the age of 12 ... but at least I had fun.
Best,
Marty

Sounds like you all will have fun. Everytime I hear about firestarting I remember that one Survivor show where they couldn't start a fire for nothing. Even I learned as a kid to use glass as a magnifier to start a fire....take it easy on yourself love, Sandi

Well the Raven's been devoured(winks)...As for Christmas, I've had a pinch in my neck from nerves ever since I read it here...(raises eyebrows) It's not Christmas per say, just the animal family get together is in my home this year. I don't even want to think about that until sometime after Sept. (Hugs) Indigo

ROFL on the Wilford cat...it does look like him!!!  How funfor you & Pumpkin to have a girls weekend.  You have been so busy the past few weeks, it isn't any wonder your hands ache!  You need some R&R now.

The time is certainly going by too fast this spring.  Hope you find just the floor you're looking for.  Bite your tongue for even mentioning shopping for "that" holiday so soon.........even just a little.  Way too early!!!

Certainly had to chuckle at the Wilford Cat!
I am interested to see your selection of
floor covering. That's almost as hard as
selecting new matresses, which I just
finished doing.  Too much fun, and can't
get used to the new ones.  Good luck,  Pat
