More Ears...

We are back!  Yep, double ear infection...one ear already perf'd and draining and the other is ready to blow!  Ear drops and antibiotics it is for my little Pumpkin!

And, she had to have the dreaded 'stick' to check for strep throat.  You know, the gaggy thing...but, she handled it like a pro.

School is a big 'maybe' for tomorrow for Pumpkin.

Fuzzy threw a temper tantrum this am and stormed out of the house to the truck without grabbing his lunch.  I then put the lunch in the refrigerator and forgot to bring it to him, as I planned.

A little unplanned cosmic karma, but now, Fuzzy is home and is fuming mad at me.  Of course, at 11, he doesn't see how he contributed to the situation at all.  Ugh.  I do feel badly though, dang mommy guilt.

Tonight, we are going to have White Castle for dinner!  A treat for the kids and me and my dad!  Yummy!  My Hubby will suffer through it for us!  lol

This weather, and the fact that I am due for IV medicine for my rheumatoid arthritis, has left me with swollen, stiff hands, wrists and elbows.  Ugh.

I am just happy the hips and the resulting sciatica is behaving.  Especially after the fun weekend away!  <<wink wink nudge nudge>>

My hands look like baseball mitts.  Ugh.

be well,
Dawn

Dawn,
Isn't being a Mom great!  I thank the good Lord for good drugs and the fact that most kids grow out of the ear infection thing.  My youngest is in High School now.  It's been years since we had an ear infection.  fuzzy should know better when there are sick kids in the house....nuff said.
Smiles,
David

Hope you all have a nice relaxing evening. I've never eaten White Castle but I sure do like that movie about Harold & Kumar.

Catherine used to have ear infections and she would be running a silent temperature. She's go to bed, seemed ok  and then her temperature would shoot up. She'd come to the top of the stairs screaming, she'd appear to be wide awake but she was seeing monsters and would be hysterical. The next morning there would sometimes be blood on the pillow, from her ear, not the monsters!!!

Thank goodness they grow out of it.

Poor Pumpkin!  We have ear issues in our house, too.  Drops and antibiotics are common stockpiles.  Oh and don't feel guilty about the lunch issue, Fuzzy brought it on himself.  Although I do feel guilty when my boy comes home and is hungry because "lunch was yucky".  Oh well, they've got to learn somehow.  ;) De
