4 Places I'd Rather Be Right Now

At my now postponed Anniversary dinner, with a NOT sick Hubby

Away in the Poconos alone with Hubby

Away with my family ANYWHERE

(those three cover it I think!)

That was fun, Gillie, thanks for tagging me!  I tag THE WORLD!  Bwahhhahahaha!!!!

So, I guess by now you have figured out that Hubby was too sick for us to go out for our anniversary.  Yep.  He's totally stuffed up, coughing his head off, and his ears hurt.  He started a Z-pak, thankfully.

And, by now, everyone in the house is happy that I am the one with the brain tumor and chronic illnesses as Hubby is so pathetic when sick.  I guess that is how it is when you don't get sick often!  lol

Today, I got my hair cut, and I hate it.  The girl totally forgot how to do what I got last time, and now I look like Frankenstein.  You will not be getting a picture, so do not ask.

Hammer and his GalPal went to the Mall together, and browsed stores, and snacked together.  Very nice.  GalPal is also staying for dinner!  She is such a sweet girl, it is our pleasure to have her here.

While they were at them mall, and Hubby was vegetating on the couch, I took Fuzzy and Pumpkin and went to Borders!  After all, I think a whole 10 days passed since our last visit!  LOL

The kids got some needed books, and I got 3 paperbacks for my week in Atlantic City.  Although, I will probably read one this weekend before we go!  LOL

I also started the process of setting up for closed MRI, under sedation, that I have to have later this month.  They got all the info, but they have to call back to schedule due to an equipment problem.  Hubby will make the appointment for me... we are aiming for the week after Thanksgiving.

I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend!  And, remember, I tagged the world, so do the meme!  LOL

Russ, Gaz and Paul, I am still waiting for you to do the Mate Meme from earlier this week!

be well,
Dawn

Men are such wusses when it come to be being sick. If Doc and I get sick at the same time, forget me being sick. I'll be too busy running around waiting on him and making him comfortable. Trust me it's better than having to listen to him moan and groan. (Hugs) Indigo

I also honeymooned in Lake Placid!  It was one of my favorite skiing haunts before I got SLE. the kids and I used to hike up to the Weather Station a couple of times a year.

Hope hubby gets well so that you two can have a nice dinner before you go to Atlantic City.

Have a good weekend, Bethe

<<<medical Coding and billing>>>

I guess I am new since you did that before. I was a CFO in a hospital and relied on our coders to get us the best dollars.
Have fun in AC and stay away from the slots.
Did you ever go to the Hospital gathering in may of each year in AC?
Have a nice weekend and take good care of hubby he needs and deserves it. Bill

Had to borrow this one from you and if you need something to cover up the bad haircut I would offer my 2007 World Series Red Sox hat but I need it to cover up a similar condition to what Hubby has.  Tell him if his ears hurt bad enough take some olive oil or even cooking oil and put a teaspoon of it over the stove and heat it until it's warm, not scalding just warm, take a cotton ball, rub it around the ear and then place the cotton ball instead.  It's an old family remedy but it works. I haven't used it yet and I feel like crap!  :) -Dawn-

Okay, what is Bungalow Dish? Recipe, please!

Hubby didn't make it to the dinner, huh? You will have a better time when he feels more up to it. Like when he is ready to pay the bills...hee hee...with his FrankenPrincess.

You're so silly "everyone in the house is happy it's you with the brain tumor and chronic illness" LOL. I think all guys are weak when it comes to illness. You know I've never watched any of the Harry Potter movies maybe I'm the only person on the Earth that hasn't. Star Wars I love. You're as bad as me about where you lived. Hey I forgot crab cakes which I die for. Sorry your anniversary dinner got ruined. Hope hubby gets well soon so he can make it up to you.
Take care, Chrissie

I just looked at that StartSampling.com website.  It looks cool, but don't you get a lot of junkmail and spam if you start ordering those samples?  Just wondering in freezing PA,

Krissy :)

Men are babies , could you imagine them being pregnant for nine months???
Sorry your dinner was postponed again.
Enjoy your weekend and hope hubby is feeling better soon.

Hi Dawn,
I can't imagine any haircut making you look like Frankenstein.  Now, "Bride of Frankenstein" is another story ... but then they'd have to curl it very tightly into sort of a Perpendicular Afro with shocks of white on either side and I just can't imagine them doing that unless you specifically asked them to.  Seriously, I'm sure your new haircut looks a lot better than you think!
Best,
Marty

Dawn, don't you know that men are babies when it comes to pain and illness?  If men were the childbearers, I have a headache would be of monumental proportions, and the world population would be much lower.  Hope he feels better soon.  A bad hair cut is a good excuse to go out and buy hats, scarves, new styling products, etc.....  I'll try to do the meme on Monday, running out of time for today.  Have a great Sunday.

LOL...men make the worst patients.  I'm praying all goes well with the MRI's for you.  I go to the same girl all the time for my hair.  She changes it a little bit all the time.  Sometimes I love it, and sometimes I'd like to strangle her.  Hope you have a good weekend.  Hugs n Love, Chris

Yummy... italian everything!!!!  ME too!!!  And crab cakes sounds great with remoulade but I have no idea what remoulade is so ya gotta tell me.  And steak... the filet mignon with the bernaise sauce sounds delicious!!!  Do you have a recipe for that to share with us??!!  If not, I was wondering where to order it at if you get it when you go out to eat?  Hope you have a great weekend.  Oh I am so envious that you got to go to Nova Scotia!!!!!!!!!!!  I am a huge Anne of Green Gables fan!!!!  I can't wait to go there someday!  Hope you will tell us about the poconos.  I've heard of it but don't really know much about it.  Hope you have a happy anniversary and that hubby feels better soon!!!!!!
Hugs,
LIsa

I love the CSI's too ~ my favorite one is Miami.  Too bad you can't go out for your anniversary.  I find the world comes to a stop when my husband is sick.  Funny, when I am sick I still have to do most of what I do.  Sorry about your hair, I'm sure it isn't as bad as you think.

a bad haircut can make you feel the whold world is watching, but it will grow...
when the kids were little and I would get sick, Tom would suddenly get SO much sicker than I was...I made a rule that whoever gets sick first OWNS that sickness and no one else can have it until the owner gets well.
I'm glad you are going to be sedated for the MRI, it's rough.
I'm also gald you are getting a much needed vacation.
Love
Marti
