Santa Baby

I missed Caturday, so I had to give two lolcats along with this Christmas meme!

Here is a Christmas meme from Marty at Porch Stories, via others... you have probably seen it around!

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate?

Both, in fact, bought the first quart of egg nog today, and hot chocolate is always in the house!

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree?
Santa wraps and so do we!

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white?
Colored inside and outside.

4. Do you hang mistletoe?
Yes, and to get into our living room you have to pass under it.  It isn't a real one though.

5. When do you put up your decorations?
Inside this weekend, the rest of outside, as the weather allows during the week, it is partially done now.  The tree we will get next weekend.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish?
My mom's homemade french onion soup.  Yum!

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child:
It would be the year my parents hid a small black and white tv unwrapped among my presents!  Every year was a favorite for our family party!  Lots of singing carols, and fun and love!

8. When and how did you learn the truthabout Santa?
I still believe.  So does my mom.  There was never a moment of disappointment ever.
The Christmas Spirit is the manifestation of giving, walking the walk and talking the talk.  It should be all year... it is for some of us, but not for all.

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve?
The adults open, but not the kids!

10. How do you decorate your Christmas Tree?
We design with all family ornaments that have great sentimental value.  We review each ornament's origin as we put them up!

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it?
I love it!  LOVE IT!!!

12. Can you ice skate?
Yes, and I used to be very good!

13. Do you remember your favorite gift?
My 'Dawn' dolls, and my Barbie Townhouse, with the working elevator!

14. What's the most important thing about the Holidays for you?
The family.  It's all about the family!

15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert?
Cookies!

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition?
Many, but if I had to choose one, it is putting out the cookies and milk for Santa, and a carrot for the reindeer.

17. What tops your tree?
A star.  I grew up with angels, but always wanted a star, so now, I have it.

18. Which do you prefer giving or receiving?
Giving!!!!  I am not going to lie though, I like being surprised with a good gift from Hubby!

19. What is your favorite Christmas Song?
Tie between Bing Crosby's White Christmas, Silver Bells, and Nat King Coles' Christmas Song.

20. Candy Canes?
I like them and put them on the tree, too.

21. Do you feel Christmas is too commercialized? Or is it still magical for you?
It is absolutely magical and wonderful, it is my favorite time of year!!!  We start celebrating with birthdays in the beginning of November, right after Halloween, and keep on going until after New Year's!!!

Fun, right?  So, c'mon and play along.  All of you.  ;-)

be well,
Dawn

ROFL...We always had live trees.  The first year we had Mocha, she was small enough and climbed through it.  Scared the pants off of Joey.  She couldn't fit any other year but still tried.  Last year, she wasn't too happy about the artificial tree.  I've actually done the meme you have.  How bout that?  Love ya,Chris
