When Irish Eyes are Smiling

Happy St. Patrick's Day to one and all!

I haven't written, because not much has changed.

Except for my frustration level... that has skyrocketed.

I bought myself a mug last week from chronic-illness.org, through cafepress.com that says 'I'm sick and tired of being sick and tired!'  Yep.  That about sums up my life, state of mind, etc.  It is March 17th and the last time I felt 'good' was Christmas.  <sigh>

Fuzzy is finally well.  I would say 95%.  We have stopped the nebulizer treatments (but he is still on all his regular meds of course), and he is about 95% caught up in school as well.

Fuzzy's birthday party was postponed until this Thursday night.  The plan is dinner at White Castle, playing Guitar Hero, and a sleepover.  Fun!  ;-)

Pumpkin Muffin had her 5th Grade Social/Dance on Friday night.  It was Hawaii/Beach themed, and she had a blast.  She danced so much she twisted her ankle, but it didn't put a damper on her fun.

One little fun thing happened for me!  I got my first, very own, ipod!  I was able to get a brand new nano 2nd generation on ubid.com for about $70 including shipping!  It was such a bargain!  I love it!  I can't wait to get one of those car thingys to use it in there.  Our lease is up this year on the truck, so I may just wait, since so many of the new vehicles are mp3 integrated already.

Maybe I will do one of those ipod memes soon.  lol

As soon as my lungs clear up completely, I am going to start walking on the treadmill, about 30 minutes, 3-4 times a week.  Having the ipod will be nice.  I need to get one of those neck holder things, but I have time... This cough doesn't want to leave quite yet.

I hope you are all having a Green Monday of fun!  Too bad there isn't green coffee... I would be so stylin'!

be well,
Dawn

ps... Indiana Jones kitty wishes St. Patrick was around...

How about some "Irish coffee" with some green whip topping on it?  That's pretty Irish if you ask me!  I know what you mean about things not changing much and not really having anything to write about, I've been the same way.  I hope the pain and congestion are getting better.

Maybe the message on that mug isn't something you need...sounds like a downer.  How 'bout a mug with a naked hunk on it?  ;)

Hey Dawn,
Sorry I'm MIA everywhere even in my own journal. Glad to hear everyone is working towards healthy now. Come on spring I think we'll all feel better then. So glad you got yourself a treat. I don't think I'd know what to do with one of those. I know I'm not really that old, but sometimes I feel ancient when it comes to all those new gadgets my kids just laugh at me. I sure hope you get rid of your cough soon and you get to walking. White Castle? LOL you guys have those too. My BIL is like in love with those lil heartburn burgers. Sounds like your daughter had a blast. Have a great green day.
Take care, Chrissie

Love the cats, as usual ~ they are so clever!!!  I am really sorry to hear you aren't feeling any better.  I wish I could wave my hand and make it all go away for you.  Hopefully with the warmer, drier weather coming you will start to turn the corner...Praying for you.
