Libby is Home!

I am so sorry that Pumpkin and I haven't gotten to visit all the meme's you have done for her!  We will soon!  Things have been hectic here today!

We got the call this morning to pick up Libby at 1pm.  They brought her to us in an exam room and she went wild!  Typical lab, you would never know she had a 6 inch incision on her chest!  She just about jumped into Hubby's arms!!!  Her demeanor was totally, 'Yay!  Let's get outta here!'

The doc came in and we went over the meds we have to give her and then we headed out.  Libby dragged us to the car!  No stopping to pee there!  Get me to my house!

She was equally excited to see the kids.  Now she is trying to rest, but she is apparently very sore, and keeps moving from spot to spot.  Poor baby.

Here is a picture:

Ouchie, right?

I am going to go jump in the shower, and hopefully she will sleep for a bit.

I promise, Pumpkin and I will do our rounds soon, either later today or tomorrow before the Giants game!

be well,
Dawn

Dawn,  I can totally relate to the joy you feel at having Libby home.  Your dog could be my dog .  My big golden girl is named Jazzy and she has the sweetest disposition.  She is so sensible and a real member of the family, so I know how concerned you were and relieved to have her back home.  I hope her recovery goes well.  Keep us posted.  Look forward to reading your entrees.    Pat

She's home, and she will get better. My dog had a couple of little masses removed from her, but her incisions were not as big as your Libby's. Poor thing! Glad you were able to help her out, glad the vet was able to remove it, and I hope the biopsy shows good news. Have a good weekend! bea

Awwww, bless her heart! Lots of extra love and treats! Good grief, that's a big incision! I pray the tests all come back negative!

YOW!! That looks painful!  I'm amazed at how quickly dogs heal.

yea that Libby is home!!! poor dog, that looks like a big owie she has from her surgery; she seems like she is a trooper though for putting up with so much!

did you know that Labs were the #1 dogs out of the top 10 that I saw listed on the AOL opening screen the other day? Koda is devastated; corgis weren't in the top 10.

hope the Giants win tomorrow!

oh youch! I was just telling Doc, Pickles would react that way if she was away from us for any amount of time. She goes nuts if she has to be crated for an hour or two. Hopefully being home among the people she loves will help her settle down and rest, heal sooner. Aww...I just want to hug the little lady. Give her a gentle hug from Pickles and I please. Oh dear, the poor thing...youch.  That really looks sore.  Grizzly was making such a pitiful pain whiny noise after his gum surgery last year.  I can only imagine what Libby is feeling.  I will certainly keep her in my prayers and pray for good news.  I saw Pumpkin's meme...she did a wonderful job.  Now, let's go Giants!!!  Love n Hugs Chris
