Thankful Thursday

Is that so funny?  British cats don't do misspelled lol's!

Wow, Thursday already?  Also, the first Thankful's of 2008.

1.     My blog.  It brings me support and friendship from J-Land, and gives me a wonderful outlet for both my writing and my psyche!

2.     Coffee.  Yes, it is high on the list this week.  Telling, isn't it?

3.     Hubby.  How can you not love a man who knows before you do that the headache you can't shake is because you are finally going to get your period?  Yeah, he's that good.  AND, then he went out and got me Taco Bell.  I just love my man!!!

4.     Kids.  Fuzzy and Pumpkin had great nights sleep last night, and went to school semi-happily this morning.  Hammer is his usual happy, caring, self today.  He just made me a coffee.  <sigh>  I just LOVE that boy!

5.     My parents.  Dad is still home with me this week, doing some painting in his and Mom's hallway.  Today he made us Lipton Noodle Soup for lunch.  Yummy.  He still gives me a teaspoon, instead of a soup spoon, like when I was little.  It makes me smile.

6.     I CAN HAS CHEEZBURGER? .  Thank you, Russ.  I love this site, it makes me laugh and smile each day, and seems to always have situations that relate to my crazy life!

7.     Kathy.  Today is Kathy's birthday!  I am so happy that she arrived in this world, and subsequently became the sister of my heart, filling the void of the sister by blood that fate did notbring.  I love you dear Sis, and I hope that you wear your Ugg-like Bearpaw boots in good health and happiness, always!

Also having a birthday today is Bill from Comments on the events of my life!  Happy Birthday, Bill!  Please call around, as Bill has been feeling a little blue...

Update:  Also having a birthday is Tracy from in one*hip*mama's head who is apparently 39 again!  Yay!

So, that is the first list of 2008.  There will be many more to follow.

A question:  Is anyone planning on watching the new American Gladiators?  We will be!  Hubby and I loved to watch the other show, and have caught some of the repeats that have been on recently.  Oh my, the bad 80's hair!!!  The mullets!!!  What were men thinking??  lol

Tv has been awful without new shows due to the writer's strike, so I think it will be fun to watch!  The kids can't wait either!  I think Sunday is the first episode.

Signing off for now, going to enjoy this cup of coffee, while sitting and doing nothing!  (I have cramps, my hands are swollen, and everything aches today... the period always aggravates the RA... sorry men, avert your eyes... lol)

be well,
Dawn

ps... My hubby follows my version of this quite often... 'Happy wife, happy life!' - advice given to us when away for our 10th Anniversary from a couple celebrating their 45th Anniversary!

I remember going to a Ricky Martin concert years back...  Hundreds of happy women around me, and their men were back and forth to the concession stand with trays of nachos for their women!  Funniest thing I ever saw...but, my God-you are right--happy wife = happy marriage!!  Men must provide food for women!!  LOL  Julie  I hope you are feeling better soon!!

I was just sitting here thinking I'm suppose to be thankful today it's Thursday already lol the days are like a blur right now.
I'm laughing at the top graphic YANK CATS lol of course they don't use misspelled words girl they're British it's proper English.
My husband knew my schedule like a book, but we practiced natural birth control so I think he was just making sure to know what days was a go...LOL.
Wow a son that makes you coffee.. I know you trained him right.
That's cute about your Dad giving you a teaspoon.. what you don't understand is that when he looks at you you're still that little girl to him.
Glad Russ sent you that site because you've shared some funny pictures.
Happy Birthday it must be a popular day today.. it's also Baby Brennan's 3rd birthday his mom has a journal too.
I haven't watched tv since the writers strike. Remember I was breaking my neck to watch all those hours of tv now I'm bored. I'd play cards, but not to much fun by yourself.
I'm thankful to be able to visit for another year in your journal Dawn and play your Memes.
Take care and Hugs, Chrissie ;-)

I love your thankfuls.  And I love both of the lolcats that you have here.  I think I'm going to agree with the second one and tell my hubby and kids the same thing -- Is no step 2!

Awe that picture is adorable.  Nice thankful Thursday list you have there & good husband to boot!!!  I believe we'll take a look at the new Gladiator show, like you said everything else is reruns and it is fun to watch the old ones on ESPN classic...geesh, when I start to see shows I watched young on "Classic & Nick at Nite" I know I am getting old.  LOL

I am so going to watch the new American Gladiators!!  I loved the old one, and you're right, what were people thinking in the 80's with the hair???  (um, I had a mullet in '85!  shhh!!  if you tell anyone I'll deny it!  Billy Ray had nothin' on me!)  Thanks for reminding me it's on!  Thankful Thursday, what a neat concept!
Kinda off subject, but I was tested for Lupus back in '95.  I still am not sure I agree with what they decided was my problem, but I was told I did not have Lupus after a series of quick tests.  After being told when I first went to a doctor that I didn't have Rosacea, then sent to the other doctor and told it wasn't Lupus, I went to another doctor and he told me cover it with make up and live with it (didn't go back to him again) and back to the original doctor who then said "You have Rosacea."  As my skin changes I wonder if they were wrong...anyway, good luck to you and yours in the new year, may it be a good one for all of us!!!  You've already been blessed with a wonderful family!
