A Hubby-filled Happy Day

My hubby stayed home today!!!

I love when my hubby stays home, tomorrow will be 15 years from the day we were engaged, and we still enjoy every minute that we are in each other's company, and wish we could be together more!   That darn work thing keeps getting in the way.  LOL :-D

First, he got up and got the kids up, ready, and drove them to school.  Then, he let me sleep, and got Dunkin Donuts Cinnamon Coffee before he woke me at 11am.  Keep your roses...sleep goes a long way in marriage!

Next, my hubby took Hammer (who I homeschool) out for a nice father/son lunch!  I got to take a nice, long, hot shower to loosen up my achey joints from the rainy weather.   They brought me home lunch, too.

Then, while Hammer attended to his school work, Hubby offered a nice back rub.  Very nice, indeed, which developed into a spontaneous afternoon delight!

In spite of the rain, it has been a downright wonderful day!

It is so sad to me that I often hear at various school and sporting events mom's complaining about about their hubbies being around.  That is disrupts their routine, or they are just annoyed by it.  So many mom's complain about their hubbies in such a way that you can hear that they are not "friends" with their mate and do not often have fun with them.

I am ecstatic to say that my Hubby is my best friend and we always have fun together.  No one can make me laugh like he can.  I am very blessed.

There are rumors that tomorrow will not be raining, thank you, Mother Nature.  I need to leave my house and do some errands that I really cannot put off any longer.  Doing it sans rain will be quite pleasant, for a change!

So, signing off from my very wet, but happy little corner of NJ!

Be well,
Dawn

PS - Remember, it is still Lupus Awareness Month!

Dawn, it's so timely to hear you talking about having a good husband. I was in an abusive relationship for six years and broke free but had trouble having relationships. I'm proud to say I am *finally* involved with the greatest guy on the planet right now and hope to be able to say the same things you are saying about your husband. Well, someday. It's so refreshing and so beautifully romantic. My parent's have the same kind of marriage.
You are certainly blessed.
No, I don't know much about lupus except what I've learned from you and didn't know it was lupus awareness month. Thanks for letting me know.
Best wishes,
Dianna

Dawn, what a wonderful day to have :) I'm glad you got pampered, and spoiled, and got to sleep and got to enjoy a day with your husband home!

I am so glad that ya'll had such a good day! It always makes me so happy to hear (see) other women talking about being happy with their husbands or being so in love with their husbands. I love Jimmy so much and I hate it when we're apart. I miss him horribly. My sister is happy when her DH is at work because she can get things done. I notice when J's home, there isn't as much for me to do.

I'm  hoping that tomorrow is sunny and beautiful in both our necks of the woods!

Hugs,
Susan

WHERE did you get that man? lol

And I can't believe someone not wanting their husband home. But I can't imagine marrying someone that isn't your best friend. Maybe that's just me lol

Dawn, I laughed with joy along with you, then snickered my way thru the part about wives complaining about their husbands getting in their way.  I am such a wife (but I don't feel bad about it one bit!).  Just this morning, and my purpose for heading to J-land, I planned to gripe about Rick getting in my way, messing up my plans, causing me to change my routine with his pokiness...  but instead I read your journal and (kinda) have a different perspective.  I'll try to appreciate him more today and delight in his quirkiness - but just for today and only for you because its Lupus Awareness Month!  Thanks for an eye-opening entry.  Enjoy your hubbie.  He sounds wonderful!

I loved this little tribute to your husband.   Yesterday was the 35th anniversary of my first date with my husband ( okay, I'm old , but not THAT old !! lol.... we were high school sweethearts ), and we just celebrated our 30th anniversary of being married, in June.  As the song says " We're still havin' fun, and you're still the one."  Tina     http://journals.aol.com/onemoretina/Ridealongwithme

Your husband sounds like mine. I treasure him! He really is my best friend in the world. It's not often I find someone else like me who would rather spend time with the husband and kids than anyone else. LOL  (I have a megaload of alerts to catch up on...darn that vacation! ;-)
