Go to settings click on "welcome settings"
Then click the button " welcome screen and this AOL keyword or URL"
Copy and paste this into the white box - aol://4344:851.wslite73.28204337.767732010
The next time you start AOL you get a cheap knock off version of the Regular, nice sized, not too cluttered Welcome Screen.
Apparently, that is the only option.
I got this from someone in my graphics group who went on with AOL Help live.
I like this one better...definitely more like the old one.
be well,
Dawn

Dear Dawn
hugs sweetie!
thanks and have aGreat weekend!

I just wish there was a way to make the welcome screen go away. You can minimize it, but you can't close it. It's a pain in the ass.

Thank you, thank you, thank you!!!!!!
I wish u could personalize ur own welcome screen!!!
I think AOL caught on. This no longer seems to be working. Arrrggghhh. The new welcome screen is the most unwelcoming mess I've ever seen. What is AOL thinking?!! How to alienate your customers with one change?!
It is miserable. I cannot get the Next Entertainment topics to work. It was less complicated and easier to go thru before. Does AOL read any of these comments! If it Aint Broke, Don't Fix It. I don't like it so do something about it AOL!
Slight correction in my case,I had to go to" Setting then Start-up settings. Select
"Welcome screenand this AOL Keywordor URL".Copy &Paste info given previously.
Many Thanks to princessaurora
Thank you. I've been trying to figure this out ever since they changed it. Every now & then this screen would just appear but I didn't know how to set it to stay that way. Again, thanks.

Grab a corner of the welcome screen and drag it down to a small box, move it down to the bottom of the screem select window - remember size and position. After that it will open as the little box at the bottom.
