Thankful Thursday

The kids are having a fun day off of school!  Happy Rosh Hashana to all those celebrating!

I used the cat picture above because my kids and my mom are sooooo addicted to slurpees!  Such a cute kitten!

Okay, men - avert your eyes for a second.  I got my dang monthly you know what, but after last time being 40 days in between, this time - 23 days.  Oh, somedays how I hate being a peri-menopausal 41 year old woman.

Men - you can look again!  LOL

Coffee isn't cutting it today, or my regular meds.  I am so swollen and retaining water, that all my joints are a mess.  Even my hips today.  I hate when that happens.  If I was to leave the house today, I would probably use the cane, just to be sure I didn't fall.  Ugh.

However, the kids are having fun with Peanut and DogBoy, and it is a beautiful day!!!  Sunny, 75 degrees, low humidity.

Thankful Thursday time!

1.     Vicodin.  Yes, it knocks coffee out of the top slot today.  Even just a half of one will make my day much better for the next 6 hours.  It doesn't make me high or loopy, it just pushes the pain down, so I can keep a smile on my face and do what I need to do with the kids today.  So far, that has mostly been make food or help get drinks, and open packs of snacks!  LOL

2.     Coffee.  Mmmm... yummy.   I am drinking some hazelnut heaven right now.

3.     My mom.  She knows why.  As usual, above and beyond the call of duty.

4.     J-Land.  Where else can you be friends with all kinds, types and styles of people, from all over the world, and check in daily on each others life?  Only here.

5.     Kids.  My kids, Ilene and Bob's kids, all kids.  Kids are just so funny sweet and loving and FULL of life!  They really are a blessing!  For everyone - for the world!

I have another interview ready to be done, and I am waiting for Dan to send me one, if I get them today, I will post them all later!

be well,
Dawn

Great list. Sorry your body isn't cooperating at the moment. Sometimes it sucks to be a woman. I'm gradually coming back to my reading. It's hard to do with no time. Hope you're having a great day.
Take care, Chrissie

I like your blog
I came upon it because it was on one of the AOL lists.
I am 18 years old and I have lupus too. The joint pain is awful at times and I don't see how you can do it with a family. Best of luck to you!

Awww...brain freeze kitty is so cute.

I went hiking in the mountians again today on the heaviest day of my ever-regular period. Kinda not a good idea when you have to use a nasty open hole outhouse.

Glad the vicodin helps you! --Cin

Did you see Hover Cat?  That was one of my all-time favorites from the cheezburger site.

I call my monthly Vito!  It's like a baby huntin' loan shark who comes over and beats me up for three or four days and then leaves.  Hope you had a good holiday.  -Dawn-

Hello dearheart, I've been out of town for several days -- my brother back in the hospital again, seriously ill.  I am getting caught up on reading and am so impressed with your list for the exotic island survival!  I would never have thought of the right stuff for survival and rescue.  I was thinking things like my Bible and notebooks for writing lol.
loving you

Love both the kittehs!!!  Your thankfuls are wonderful.  I am reading that coffee affects hypertension.  Since I take meds for that, I"m now wondering if I need to quit.  I can't quit coffee. :(

The kitten is too cute! I have 7 of the little buggers about that size right now. I take them out once a day for a few hours so they can romp and play in the grass and get some fresh air. (On a side note, they where all checked by the vet and don't have Feline Leukemia or FIV Yay!!) Keeping you in my prayers on the smoke, your soon feeling better! Loved the thankful 5. J-land is a wonderful place full of some very special people, namely you! (Hugs) Indigo
