Small Town

This picture/tag is my fantasy... because it is 90 FREAKING DEGREES!  ACK!

Okay... anyhow, last night we went to the Longhorn because it is 6 blocks from us, and today everyone was off for the holiday.

Apparently, everyone in our little town had the same idea!  We ran into 4 families from town!  LOL

Today... another quiet day.  Fuzzy is over at DogBoy's house for a playdate and he is going to go to karate school for Bring a Buddy day, too!

Hubby and I went out to Starbucks for coffee and to just have some alone time to chat.  It was very nice... we haven't had a lot of that lately.  We talked more about the trip, some future Boy Scout plans, and what's happening this week coming.

Tomorrow is Back to School night!  Always fun...  I love to see the teachers, meet the new ones, and see the work hanging up and the classrooms!

Pumpkin and I ran some errands today, too.  She needed some new underwear, we picked up a mirror with a magnetic backing for her locker, some Halloween treats, and toothpaste!  Very exciting.

We are going to be having dinner soon, stuffed shells and sauce.  Yummy!

The Giants beat the Jets yesterday, yay and boo.  We have fans of both in the house, and I like them both.  I am glad for Hubby... he was thrilled.

be well,
Dawn

I'm a Bill Parcells fan, so right now I don't have any team to root for.  I wanted the Jets to win because that's the team I picked in the football contest on one of the local television stations.  Boo Hoo!  I'm still in 14th. place out of more than 200 players.  The grand prize at season end is a big diamond ring!

Bill wanted the Jets to win because (as you know) he's a big Redskins fan.  Actually, he's always been a Redskins fan - New York/New Jersey boy, so what?

It's hotter in New Jersey than here.  Something definately wrong with that picture.

Take care.

I love the tag at the top.  It wa crazy hot here today, too.  We'd better be careful what we wish for, on Oct. 13th last year, we had 5 inches of snow.  We may all be in the deep freeze soon and wishing for warmer weather(shudder).  Just a thought.

Majestic Fall...you'll get yours soon, I hope. It was about 70 degrees here today and we went hiking in the mountains and could see lots of snow on the peaks.
Enjoy Back to School Night. Those really are fun. --Cin

It was 96 here today, but I just read that Phoenix has been having a cool front and has been cooler than most of the US.  Not so today, but during the last week upper 80s and lower 90s for the most part.  Definitely cooler than Chicago during the matharon, so sad.  Glad you got some time to spend with hubby, and at Starbucks no less.  Have you tried the Orange Mocha?  Mmmmmm!  De ;)

I'm so sick of these hot days and nights it's ridiculious, where the hell are the cooler temps of Autumn? I love this time of the year but the heat is definitely putting a damper on it. I couldn't sleep last night until 4 AM it was so hot in the house. I keep telling myself I'm in NY, not Texas. Here's to hoping the cool weather is on it's way SOON. (Hugs) Indigo
