King of Pain

I love this cat... I know... I am strange...

Hubby is doing his 'prep' for his colonoscopy tomorrow.  Poor thing...  He can only drink clear liquids until after the test, and he had to drink a half gallon of nasty stuff.  He has had several trips to the bathroom, I expect there will be many more.

Glad I don't have to do this until 50!  One thing I am happy to be spared.

Hubby is hoping that he will get the okay to be able to eat raw veggies and fruits again.  Being that it is summer, he is really missing eating those, right now.  It will depend on how bad the diverticulosis looks, I guess.

Our new DirectTV DVR came in the mail yesterday.  Woohoo!  We can use 'pause' for potty runs again!

Last night we hooked it up and got it rolling.  I miss the Tivo though, before we could switch back and forth between the two tuners at any time.  Now, you can't.  You have to choose to record something before the second tuner is available to watch.  Feh, we'll deal!

Fuzzy got stung by a bee at the pool yesterday.  This was his second sting, and since he had a mild reaction the first time, we were very nervous.  So far so good, but we are still keeping a very close watch, since he tends to have delayed reactions!!!

Fuzzy is taking benadryl, and soaking his foot in peroxide and warm water to keep it clean and draw out some of the poison.  Never a dull moment at Dawn's house!

Hubby got stung last week at the pool, also!  I think I forgot to tell you all!  lol  Unfortunately, if you step on bees, well, they sting.  This year seems to be a big clover year, and the bees are all over.  They are not aggressive at all, they are just doing their thing... and bam.

Unfortunately, Hubby didn't take care of his very well, and it is now infected.  @@  He never listens to me.  So, tomorrow, after the colonoscopy, we have to stop at the internists office to get him an antibiotic.

And, I am the one with the suppressed immune system.  You'd think he would listen to me, since I rarely get infections, because I am so diligent, but NOOOOOOOOOOO.

Okay, I am done bitching about that for now!  LOL   After all, he is literally crapping his brains out, so I have to be nice him today!

I hope everyone is enjoying their weekend and having a good Sunday!

be well,
Dawn

Oh bees scare me..  I have a friend whose brother was attacked by a swarm of bees.  He died!!  Whenever I see a bee I freak.  Be careful around the pool!  I hope your husband can eat the foods he loves again--must be pain to hear him bitch about it, I'm sure..  (((Dawn)))  Take care - Julie

I know, it sucks getting older.
Ever since I turned 40, I have to get physicals, and checked for colon cancers and such.
Still not used to the finger routine....   OUCH !!

Be glad there are bees, Dawn, although a sting is very very painful.

Lot of bee stings in your household, did you piss em off this year? (winks) seriously hope everyone feels better soon. As for hubby I do feel for the poor guy, but he has been awfully bitchy towards you so what goes around comes around. Although his is more of a shitty nature lol! (Hugs) Indigo

I bet he won't leave the toilet seat up. Every second counts under those circumstances.

My wife is going in for one tomorrow so I know what you (and your hubby) are going through. Hope all is negative and he can get back to enjoying some of his favorite fruits and veggies.
