You gotta be a Football Hero

Hubby, Hammer, Fuzzy and Dill are all sitting in the drizzle at the NY Jets game.  My dad passed when the weather went south.  I don't blame him, it is just a pre-season game.

Then, Pennington, first time he puts his freakin' hands on the ball in the pre-season, throws an interception?  HELLO???  Not a confidence instilling move there, Chad.  Ugh.

Pumpkin is also out this evening.  The new Disney movie, High School Musical 2, is premiering on the Disney Channel tonight.  Her friend Meg, who used to live across the street from us, is having a few girls over to watch it!  Pumpkin is thrilled, because she and Meg were so very close, up until she moved.  Then, even though it is just 2 towns away, they just can't keep up the friendship the same way anymore.  :(

So, yes, you counted right, that leaves me alone in the house.  A nice treat after the hectic week that just passed.  :-)

I found this Friday Fill-in meme to do.  What the heck!

Friday Fill-in

1. There's Coffee and then there's decaf.  LOL

2. Subscribe to
TV Guide, I think it is one of the few entertainment mags worth the money.

3. I love a good book because it allows me to escape within its pages.

4. My favourite position is reading a book! (and the other thing is none of your business!  LOL)

5. I need to quit worrying too much, but I am waaayyy better than I used to be.

6. I need to start walking on my treadmill again.  No matter how fatigued, or how sore I am.  :-/

7. And as for the weekend, tonight (Fri.) I'm looking forward to the quiet, tomorrow my plans include visiting with my cousin, Karol, when she picks up Dill, and Sunday, I am going to relax and maybe go to the pool!

And, that as they say, is that.  Not much else to say... so I am signing off for now!

be well,
Dawn

Dawn, I love the way you work coffee into almost every meme that you do. I like my coffee but only have three ups a day, with lots of sugar, three or four teaspoons or whatever is left in the bowl and very little cream or milk.. I think I am more qaddicted to the sugar than the coffee.
Enjoy the night, I would wish the Jets good luck but I am an Eagles fan, Bill

totally understand your football frustrations!  i was flipping out when the pats lost to the bucs.  yet, my heart was a little torn bc my alma mater's qb is in the running for backup qb (gradkowski) and he did ok.  (last year was a rough one for him as a rookie.)  ahhh, pre-season woes.  (the pats taking randy moss was bad enough.  i was abt to have another stroke! lol)  anyway, it is fantastic to hear that you have a little time to yourself for recuperation & relaxation.  will be doing the friday meme when i'm done with this :)  ohhhhhhhh, before i forget, bussing is a great thought - i have even considered riding my bike - whatever it takes to get to my lil girl!

Hey, it's preseason, they all suck!  Then the Real season starts and some of us are Still waiting for our team to stop SUCKING.  LIONS!! ;(   One of these years(before I'm too old to watch).   Ah well, such is the life of a sports fan, good years, bad years, every year we hope.  You enjoy this quiet time for yourself tonite.  It comes so seldom in a household.  Take Care.

preseason does not look good for alot of teams....I am a football fanatic...but have been disappointed in the veterans and their performance...hopefully when the regular season starts their true skills will kick in otherwise it looks like a long disappointing season all around....
enjoy your quiet evening!!!

GO VIKINGS!!!! OK so I have to grasp at what little glory and signs of hope they send my way. Jets will come around.

So you can do THAT and reada book hu? Guess it depends on the book perhaps.
How cool is that?... You getting the house all to yerself!! YAY Dawn!
I have a difficult time maintaining relationships in the same town, it kills me to wonder what will happen when we move 70 miles north.

Enjoy the weekend.

I was bummed that High School Musical 2 wasn't as good as the first one.

(and seriously...decaf?  Can that even be classified as coffee?  ;-P)

Sounds like your facial pain is easing some.  I hope so.  Most of the people I know who had this didn't know what they had and were terrified it was permanent.  Gerry

We had the sleepover too going here for HS Musical 2 and it really was awesome.  Now I want to be a teen again and be size zero.  Sigh.  I better get back on my treadmill.
