Fat Tuesday

Hello there!

Are you partying for Mardi Gras?  Having a little Fat Tuesday madness?

Dan, over at The Wisdom of a Distracted Mind , is gorging himself on Polish jelly donuts.  Enjoy, Dan!  I would go read Dan's latest entries if I were you, they will make you laugh!

Pumpkin and Fuzzy are home from school.  Today is the last day of their winter break.  Normally, it would be the whole week, but their school is having construction, and school started late, as you may remember, way back in September.

They just ate 7/8ths of a pizza.  They were very hungry.  They have the whole Fat Tuesday thing down!!!

Fuzzy is now working on a paper for his science class that is due tomorrow.  Yup, nothing like waiting until the last minute!

be well,
Dawn

I only found out today it was pancake day. I seem to have got out of touch these last couple of weeks.

Hmm......... Fat Tuesday Day. Why is it I'm always a day late and a dollar short. There is now only a half hour left on a day I would of been able to splurge and no one would look twice. I gotta lot of sweets to cram in the next half hour!!!! (Hugs)

Hmmm...I forgot about this until the last minute.  My Dad, being from Houma (near New Orleans) always celebrates one way or another, and frequently down there.  I just tend to breaze right over it and onto Ash Wednesday and the whole Lent thing, not that I'm catholic.  One year everyone in this law office I worked in was catholic and so I decided to join in the whole lent thingy and gave up...chocolate!  And yes, since you asked, I did make it the whole way through lent w/o eating a bite of chocolate pure torchure that it was, lol.  Happy Fat Tuesday!  De ;)
