S-A-T-U-R-D-A-Y - Saturday!

Saturday!  Such a great day of the week!

Everyone can sleep in if they want to do so!

No work or school!

Just fun stuff for the kids...  Ballet and Jazz class for Pumpkin, and Bowling League for Fuzzy!

I am going to drag my mother out to lunch I think, and to the store with me!  Or at least I think I will try to do so!  Mom just wants me to take her credit card and go pick up some stuff, but doing it together would be more fun.

I think I have mentioned before that my Mom used to be a big smoker.  Since July 2005 she has stopped smoking in her house, (which had a separate hvac and air handler than ours) and since you can't smoke in restaurants or most public places in NJ that pretty much leaves her smoking outside.

Mom used to be a 3-pack-a-day smoker.  She went down to less about 5 a day, but now has crept back up to around 10-15 cigs a day.   I hope and pray that someday she will stop completely.

However, for now, Mom goes out onto our little porch area outside our front door and smokes at the little bistro set out there.  The cats and the dogs often watch her doing this.  They actually sit in the full view glass door and stare at her.

So, where am I going with this?  I belong to the graphics group, Derasta Creations, as mentioned in my side bar.  One day, one of the women used a tag for her signature that totally reminded me of my Mom.

My kids totally cracked up and love this, and even my Mom and Dad and Hubby got a good chuckle, too.

So here it is...

Grandma, smoking, who looks an awful lot like our all black cat!

be well,
Dawn

ps... The weather people are big fat liars and we got no snow at all.  Just slushy goopy rainy gunk that wet the ground and now is turning icy.  Arrrghhh!  I want SNOW!

We've got a pretty frost this morning but not as good as snow. I want SNOW!

I've never been a big smoker but do (did) enjoy one or two with a drink when socialising, or with my daughter, who is also an occasional smoker. We are outside smokers but I haven't had one since I smoked my last in the pack on New Year's Day. The real test will be next week in Germany, as there will be socialising with people I normally smoke with. Lets hope the Pils don't weaken my resolve!

We got a lot of rain here....Colorado is hogging all the snow this year.
I hope your mom quits altogether , it's not good at all for her.

That is just too funny! Well, they didn't lie for us...do you want the -3 we had last night & the big whopping 4 degrees it is now instead? I'll take snow any day instead of this frozen tundra!

ROFL at the tag....that looks like me.  I smoke outside now.  When it's cold, I puff fast.  A half a pack a day is good for a previous heavy smoker.  I know the feeling.  It's soooo hard to stop completely.  I have noticed that my cough totally disappeared when I got down to a half a pack or less.  It's an awful addiction.  I wish I never started.

I just love Saturdays.  That's a great day for me because I know I still have Sunday to go.  Sounds like you and your mom had fun shopping.  BTW:  love Chili's..yum.  HUGS  Chris

I have to quit smoking too. Gonna try again tomorrow. Its like some inner wrath to go through those withdrawels but I am starting to feel it so I have to quit. At least your mother has cut down. 15 a day is so much better than three packs. I smoke a pack a day. I wouldnt know how to have the time to smoke three of them. I hope your mom can quite too. I hope we all can. I will be one ugly bitch for a week. I hope I dont run into any other humans for a good month, lol. I know that is an impossibility but God help them, lol. ~Raven
