Frogs Raining Down from Heaven

As Kathy and Karol arrived on Friday outside my house, I jokingly said to them, 'Have you been vaccinated against plague?  Because after the several that have hit this house, I am fully expecting frogs to rain down from Heaven next!'

Everyone laughed.

I am happy to report that neither Kathy, Karol, nor their children have come down with the stomach virus!

However, my dad walked in 2 hours ago, home from work early.

I should preface that by saying that in the 12 years he has had this job, he missed work twice for stents being put in his heart, once for pneumonia (after working with it for weeks), and once for an injured finger.  Yep... he NEVER misses work or leaves early for sickness.

Today, being accosted with the 'running from both ends virus', he had no choice.

As Hammer said, 'Poor, poor Grandpa'!

Pumpkin hasn't said much, but she is still recovering!  She was able to have some pastina (little tiny pasta stars) made in a chicken broth, but not soupy.  Pumpkin said it tasted like the best food ever!  No more throwing up for her, but the other end is still going.  Poor baby!

Yep, after my dad walked in, I looked outside to see if the frogs starting coming down!   I didn't see any yet, but I think I heard some croaking in the distance!  lol

be well,
Dawn

ps... Hammer just told me he hopes that I don't get the virus again.  Oh yeah, from his lips to God's ears, PLEASE!!!!

It seems like everyone on the planet has had this stomach virus. I thought I had food poisoning until everyone else got sick.

Where I live in this little area of Worcester known as Comer Gardens it is recorded that in Victorian times there was a 'Rain' of Cockles (Shellfish) tons of them. Sounds a bit more painful than frogs!

I always thought the frog plague was the most pleasant-sounding plague out of all the other ones.  Yes -- I really did pay attention in Bible School.

LOL!! Thank Gosh you can't get in from someone online. Otherwise I would definately be in for it, seems whenever something is going around it likes to pay a visit. (Blame it on a poor immune system). Guess it must be bad if your dad comes home. (Sure it isn't raining frogs?)Keeping you and yours in my prayers on the smoke. (Hugs) Indigo
