Humpity Hump Hump...

I am such a doofus...

Somehow, I screwed up and missed a blog entry for CarnivAOL from my good and dear friend, Luanne!

Here is Luanne's entry... please... go visit... PAIN , and Lu, I am so sorry!

Paul, I don't know how you did it all, thank you again!

Yesterday, the new Jim Butcher novel, 'White Night' came out in hardcover.  This is in his Harry Dresden, Wizard, series, and I am so addicted, and so are the boys!!!  (The series is actually called 'The Dresden Files' as is the tv show on Sci-fi, on Sunday nights at 9pm)

Yes, I ran out and immediately purchased it at 30% off, thank you Borders!  The character of Dresden is such a likeable, funny, Star Wars quoting, every day 'joe', that you cannot help but cheer for him against the bad guys!

I recommend it for those who like good mystery books and have never tried a sci-fi/fantasy read.  Each book is a great basic mystery thriller... the magic world is the 'dressing' so to speak.

Wonderful, magical, fabulous reads....  try one...

Moving on to the family...   Fuzzy's eye is quite ugly looking, but doing fine.  The boys are very happy with their new bedroom arrangement and have thanked me and hugged me several times since!

Phew!!!  They really fought me about the change, at first... thank goodness they are happy!  Yay!

Pumpkin fell out of her new improved lower-to-the-ground-no-railing-bed on the first night, Sunday.  She was determined NOT to let that stop her and succeeded Monday and last night in sleeping in the bed without falling out!  Yay!  She is also, very happy with the new set up!

Hubby is doing much better!  He has very happily added pasta and breads back to his diet, and that has improved his mood in a big way!

I was supposed to have my Orencia infusion today, but after being sick on Monday, I had to cancel.  I moved up my MRI's to Friday, 4/13 in the morning and moved my infusion to that day in the afternoon.  Feh... whatever.   I am honestly just really glad about getting the MRI's done sooner.

Why am I saying MRI's, plural you ask?  Because, I am having 2 separate 45 minute tests, my brain, and then the spinal column, but they have to do them back to back.  Yup, 90 minutes in an MRI.  I plan on sleeping.  I hope.  ;-D

I can't wait until this Friday!  My cousin Karol and her two boys, as well as Kathy and little J, are coming to visit!  Everyone is off of work and school, and it will be a lovely visit!

The entire house is home, except my poor dad!  He has off for Easter Monday, instead.

It is raining... again... there are flood watches everywhere in NJ, right now.  UGH.  My joints are screaming.

be well,
Dawn

I just recently have gotten hooked on the Dresden Files myself on Sci-fi. I love the show! Now I'm finding out from you there are books.......you know what I'm going to be reading next. I'm keeping you in my prayers on the smoke, for the swollen joints and the MRI results both of them. On another note, I just wanted to let you know I think you did an awesomely terrific job on this past issue of CarnivAOL. (Hugs) Indigo

You can sleep during an MRI? Wow...I find it waaaay too noisy in there. Ask them if you can take home some pictures of your brain ;-)
Glad the sleeping arrangements meet with everyone's approval and that the husband is able to eat pasta. Can't live without a little pasta now and then!--Cin

Bless your heart.  I would not be a happy camper in a MRI machine for 90 minutes!

I'm sure there are some wonderful sci-fi/fantasy books out there, but it's just never been a genre I've had much interest in.  Hope the skies clear up for you soon!

I'm glad the new room arrangements are working out. How funny both our girls are falling out of their new beds!!! Let's hope it only happens that one time for each of us!

So chipper up and bake a ham or something... dye some eggs. A preschool laddie once asked me why we have to kills eggs at Easter. "Hu?" I aksed dumbfounded. "Ya know. Make them die!" Sheeeeeesh!

So the world is flooding your way too eh? Stay dry. Get working on the ark and then head over here.

GAWD those dancing eggs is making me whacky... yeah yeah not fer 2 go.
