A Hard Days Night

That about sums it up for me today...

I was the bug.

Not a lot of fun in that.

Although, I did have a lot of fun today.

Fuzzy had a ball game at noon.

It was 90 odd degrees, too hot, too humid, too sunny.

One boy even threw up from the heat.  Not a lot of fun.

They lost, but they really didn't play badly.

Kathy came up to visit with my sweet little nephew J, who somehow made it through the ball game!  Not easy at 4 years old!  Half the time, Pumpkin was there to help keep him occupied, but then she had dance.

Little J only came for one thing.  The church fair.  And, the fun house!  He remembered it really clearly from last year and couldn't wait to get there and do it again!

Poor baby... had to wait until 6pm until it opened... all day, he was asking about that fair!  LOL

Finally, we went and he did get to do his fun house about 7 times!  And, he played games and won some useless goodies to torture mommy and daddy with!  LOL

I forget sometimes, that with the lupus it can really make you sick being out in the sun and the heat.

Maybe that is what happened to me today, because I really felt badly tonight.

I did try my best though.  I tagged along with Hammer, and we had a really nice time together.  :)

I also had zeppoles, and they were yummy... another highlight of the evening!

<FONTSIZE=4>Other things were not so good.  I felt sick, my legs were very shaky, and I just felt poorly overall.  Very hard to describe.  I just didn't feel right.  And, that can be so damn frustrating.

Well, tomorrow is another day.

be well,
Dawn

At least you made the effort to be there for your kids even though you really were suffering.  I know for a fact they will one day remember that you were there for them.  I wish you were feeling better!!

Russ

Most people would have stayed home... it takes a lot of courage and determination to keep going... he'll remember that...especially once  he's old enough to realize how sick you really were "back then".

A ball game and a Church Fair?  Lucky you.  Sun, expecially HOT and humid is a love/hate thing.  Still better than snow!  The graphics in this entry are so cute.

Yikes -- sun -- our beloved enemy --- there is no surer way for me to feel very sick all over than to be out in it for very long, especially when the temperature is higher.  ((((((((((hugs))))))))))) I am sorry, dearheart.
loving you

It can be very humid where I live too..  I was born and raised on the coast--where there was fog and the mornings and sunshine in the afternoons--almost no humidity.  It took awhile to get used to it where I live now.  BUT, I still don't like it.  Try and stay indoors in the early afternoons, and go out at night.  More than likely you did get too much sun!!  I hope your day is better today--I'm sending you good thoughts, and I'm praying you have a stressless week.  Take care of yourself!  (((Dawn)))  Julie :)

90 degrees and in the sun is enough to make anyone not feel well...you are so TOUGH! I couldn't do a whole ball game in the sun. Well, yeah, I guess we do these things for our kids. I do remember an outdoor Monster Truck show which was completely in the sun. Go Grave Digger! Haha.
Take it easy today. --Cin

I love zeppoles. Glad you all had a great day, but I do hope your feeling better. Maybe you had a little too much sun and that made you feel bad. I hope you feel better. ((((((hugs)))))))))

Lupus is such a strange disease and seems to hit people in different ways. My daughter had a school mate with lupus so she was tracking it all throughout high school.  I think her interest in such may have helped her to decide to go back to college a second time to enter the nurse's college.  I have heard lots of sun is not good for lupus. I will bet some people have it, especially in the early stages, and just dont know that that they do.  I was so fascinated reading someone's diary a hundred years ago, and it told how this person could not go out in the sun without suffering ill effects and also other symptoms including bouts of mysterious illness and I thought oh my word I will bet they have lupus and they didn't know enough about it then to diagnose. A young woman lives here who is disabled and her cheeks and across her nose are beet red.  I am wondering if that is a symptom.  Gerry
