Hurt So Good

Did I continue my cleaning today?  No... my back/hip is still messed up.

Dang, maybe tomorrow though, it isn't a huge job, and the pain is starting to ease off now.

Fuzzy came home from school early today, with a headache and a stomach ache, but after eating some crackers, he was feeling much better!  I think it is allergies.  He is on meds already, but you can still feel crappy from it, as I am sure that many of you know!

Russ made my day today by sending me a really cute website!  Some of you may be familiar with the internet blog craze to put up pictures of cats with misspelled captions (because, they are cats after all, and have to spell phonetically)

I didn't know there was a whole website dedicated to it with pictures!  I was laughing my butt off!

Here is the website: I CAN HAS CHEEZBURGER?

I am going to share one with you, that my Hammer will just love.

There is a quantum physics principle of uncertainty that is explained by Schroedinger's Cat in a Box.

You see, subatomic particles exist as waves (energy) and as particles (matter) simultaneously until they are observed.  Once observed, the particle chooses to be in one state or another in an act of randomness.

To explain this to people confused by this principle, Schroedinger put a cat in a box with a container of poison.  The container had a 50/50 chance of breaking and killing the cat or not breaking and the cat is alive.  After putting the cat into the box and closing it, in 5 minutes you could not know if the cat was dead or alive, and wouldn't know until the observation was made. (he didn't actually kill any cats, fyi)

So, therefore, the cat was both, dead and alive, at the same time, since the likelyhood of either was the same.

ANYHOW, after that simple lesson in quantum physics, here is the funny cartoon that is on the website Russ sent me!

Okay, I know, probably not as hysterical to most as it is to me and Hammer, but hey... everyone is different!  LOL

And, I had a half of vicodin at noon.

Pumpkin had her end of the year Girl Scouts party today at a rock wall climbing place.  I can't wait until she gets home to hear all about it!   She did the same thing last year and loved it!

be well,
Dawn

Yeah, you know I got a chuckle out of that one, too. Still, it's a select group that would 'get it.' For more in a similar vein (silly captioned cat photos, not theoretical physics jokes) see http://www.roflcat.com/

I am so sorry you are hurting.  It's bizarre because when we start to feel remotely well we just do things like we aren't sick.  I don't know if it's denial or just our way.  I was feeling great this weekend and packed like a banchee.  Monday I was in so much pain.  It started to let up last night and, you guessed it, I wrote a list of all the things I need to do today.  We never learn.

I hope that Fuzzy is feeling better today.

Hugs, LuAnne

I think that most things are pretty funny after 1/2 a vicodin!  I know how Fuzzy feels.  Allergies are killer.

I wanted to tell you before that I love your little song title subjects. Everytime I read an entry I'm singing the darn song in my head. Gee.. thanks Dawn.  We have a oldies, 70s, 80s, 90s music channels on the cable and my daughter catches me watching it daily. Today before I got caught I was listening to Truly Madly Deeply by Savage Garden, Footloose by Kenny Loggins, Cold as Ice by Foreigner, Private Eyes by Hall & Oates, Girlfriend by Avril Lavigne and an oldie All I Have To Do Is Dream by The Everly Brothers... my grandson just laughs at me when I sing them to him. I know you're thinking that's a very wide range of music, but I love it all. Just wanted to tell you that.

Sorry your back is still hurting, but hey no cleaning today so celebrate. Allergies are the pits.. I drink lots of hot tea or lemonade and crackers to upset stomach.

Take care, Chrissie

Oh man I know. I planted my flowers yesterday & now I'm paying for it. I went to bed about 2:30ish & woke up at 6:45. Maybe my sleeping hours will get back on track but...don't want to tell the new beau because I want to see him tonight & he'll probably say I'll be tired. I'm never too tired for a little fun though! Ha! Actually, I told him those awesome kisses kick in the endorphins so I guess he is my drug supply! HA!
