I'm So Excited

Oh, and Hammer wasn't smiling big due to braces... lol

Even though I don't like the Pointer Sisters...lol...

There are quite a few countdowns going on in my house!

First, the countdown until school is over.  Thankfully, one more full day tomorrow, and a 1/2 day Friday, and then... It's OVER.

Then, Hammers countdown to Transformers: The Movie, which is the Steven Speilberg/ILM collaboration of live-action and computer animated characters of the successful cartoon series.

July 4th, coming to a theater near you.

There was a even a prequel novel, that Hammer, myself and Hubby, have all read.

Big doings around here, as you can see.

But that isn't the BIGGEST countdown in the house...

This is the biggest, most exciting by far, because it involves the most family members, and there are actually 2 Harry Potter related countdowns.

First, on July 11, is the US premier of the movie, Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, based on the 5th book in the series.  This is a much different time in Harry's life.  He is a teenager, and there is a lot of danger and action, as Voldemort (the personification of evil) is now in bodily form and out to get Harry.

Second, on July 21, is the final installment in the book series, Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows.  Dumbledore is gone, it appears Snape has turned to the 'dark' side, Hogwarts may close, Harry and Ginny have broken up, and there are 3 more pieces of Voldemort's soul that Harry must find in order to stop him forever.

I will probably buy the book at midnight again and read all night long!

We will buy at least 2 books, so Hammer and my dad can read, also, then Fuzzy.  Pumpkin has read up to book 4, so she needs to get going!  LOL

Uh oh... the kids are back from the pool with Hubby... gotta bolt!

be well,
Dawn

I love the Transformers.  Whoever thought them up must be a genius.  Love Harry Potter too.  School ends here on the 28th.  My son works for the NYC DOE so that's his last day at work.

It is really exciting to have two Harry countdowns this summer!  But we will have very little to look forward to after that!  sniff.

I am excited for you about the summer countdown... we don't watch Harry Potter but I am happy for you that you are excited.  I guess it was just such a controversy when it came out I never really got into it.  Plus my kids were so little when it came out and I didn't want them to get too confused yet.  Probably when they are a little older I will let them watch it.  Hugs,
Lisa

I cant wait... I predict Harry will sacrifice himself to save the world because he and Voldemort are somehow linked and one of them must die to destroy the ohter. I also predict that there will be a plot twist and Snape will turn out to be on the good side.
I don't remember the part about the piece of Voldemort's soul, I need to read the last book again, but it is so heartbreaking when Dumbledore dies I can't bear it.

Even with Speilberg's involvement, I'm still not tempted to see Transformers.

I have seen the first two Harry Potter films, yep I'm behind. Hopefully I will catch up when the last one is released. Kinda hate the fact I have to wait till everything comes out on DVD as I need to watch with close captioning due to my deafness. Yes, they do have equipment in the movie theatres so deaf people can have the theatre experience just not in my neck of the woods.

The Transformer movie is something that I know I definitely want to see just for the comp. animated parts alone. Wishing you love and peace! (Hugs) Indigo
